Apple Blossoms

In the Fall the students inquired about seeds. They delighted in finding seeds in their snacks. Today I brought in some branches from my Apple tree. We watched a short clip on the life cycle of an Apple tree. We then discussed how to do an observational painting. The students set to work and created the most amazing pictures. Miss Sita and I were thrilled to see the gains in their painting techniques. The students are holding their brushes properly, experimenting with different brush strokes and actually looking at the item and painting what they see. As you walk around the neighbourhood this weekend, point out to your child the different blossoms that you encounter.
