Fine motor control

Last night we welcomed our incoming junior kindergarten students to our classrooms. We had many fine motor activities set up for the students to explore. We spoke with families about different games and things they could do to strengthen the small muscles in the children’s fingers. As we watched our the new students enter, we reflected on how much our current students have grown. Today we marvelled at how much our students have developed in the area of drawing, writing letters and recording sentences. Here are some photos from last night as well as a few responses from today’s story, Hopper’s Treetop Adventure.
