Global Read aloud

Today we had the opportunity of listening to the story The Adventures of Taxi Dog There is a program called Skype in the Classroom. I indicated an interest in having a visitor read aloud to our class. Today Peggy Conlin joined us via SKYPE to read aloud the book, The Adventures of Taxi Dog. She discussed the differences between a city and a town. The students were respectful listeners and they asked thoughtful questions. We surprised Peggy by giving compliments at the end of the SKYPE call. Our young learners know how to provide compliments and thank people for their time. We are creating young respectful digital citizens.

Over the next few days, the students will be bringing home a copy of the book to read aloud with their families.

Would you like to SKYPE in a read aloud to our class? Do you have something you would like to share with us? If so let me know and perhaps we can schedule a SKYPE session.
