We have a new game in our classroom, Candyland. I have been meeting with students and teaching them how to play. I’ve observed many skills that are being addressed during the playing of the game. Students are using their pincher grip to move their Candyland figure. They are recognizing colours and following pathways on the board. Students are also taking turns, listening to others and learning how to be a good sport. If you are considering any games for your home, you might want to consider adding Candyland to your collection. It’s a hit with our kindergarten learners!
