Remembrance Day

Our students created poppies and made a class wreath. Two of our students hung the wreath during our assembly. Our entire class recited the children’s poem titled Poppy. I was very proud of the manner in which these young learners participated respectfully in the assembly. After the assembly the students wrote thank you post cards for our veterans. The postcards will be mailed to the veterans at Eagle Terrace in Newmarket.

Thank you to the families who helped practise this poem at home. Our students were confident and proud.
