Our Schoolyard…Spring is coming?

This week we walked around our schoolyard and over to our pond. We took photos and compared our observations from our winter walk. There are several key things we are looking at on our walks. We are observing one main tree, bullrushes, a berry bush, the overall look of the pond and our kindergarten fenced in area. We have been able to watch the changes in these items throughout the fall, winter and now the pending spring. Our class is also working with Mrs. Greenham to revisit our worm inquiry. We found dried out worms as well as some thriving living worms. Our class is learning about the seasons and the effects on plants and animals.  I encourage our families to take regular walks over to our schoolyard and pond. Talk about the changes that are occurring throughout the spring.
